COMMUNITY OUTREACH

In GSH, we don’t sit around waiting for people to find us. The children who are run the greatest need do not even know who we are. We have to find them. Outreach takes different forms in Good Shepherd Homes.

• We network with a variety of organisations such as Interserve, Sassoon Hospital, Whitestone International, Mukhti Trust.

• A small staff team visits slums in a particular region in order to determine which children are most in need of urgent help.

• GSH staff works with commercial sex workers and their children through several representatives and agencies in the state of Maharashtra. A number of children from red light districts have been placed in GSH over the years.
